Just when it seemed that documentaries about 9/11 and the Iraq war had played themselves out, along comes writer/director Charles Ferguson's devastating and insightful NO END IN SIGHT. Where FAHRENHEIT 9/11 had basically nailed the Bush cabal for lying about the reasons America went to war in Iraq, and many other documentaries skewered the news media for basically being in bed with the administration, Ferguson probes into what was and was NOT going on in Iraq before, during, and after the invasion; and if you think you've seen it all, NO END IN SIGHT shows that what you've really seen is the mere tip of the iceberg.
In the film, Ferguson gets to interview people who were actually there in the firestorm, like Jay Garner, Paul Hughes, ... Read More:

This movie is great for a rainy afternoon. Though rather predictable, a movie like this should be exactly that.
Miss Trachtenberg, as the protagonist, is able to glide effortlessly from physics geek to skater chic, while remaining completely sincere and convincing in both halves of her role.
Kim Cattrall portrays her complex, driven, yet deeply troubled character splendidly.
Hayden Panettiere and Joan Cusack provide great support to the main characters.
The soundtrack is excellent, as can be expected of a Disney film. With artists like Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere providing a bubbly score.
All in all, it's a fun and enjoyable, charming family film.

This is the story of Mr. Rochester's mad wife and how they got together. I only gave this video 4 stars because I like the concept and the story itself was intriguing.
The editing wasn't all that great and the screenplay didn't do much for me. I didn't mind that it was erotic. You can choose your rating btw and watch hotter if you like. I watched the lesser "R" rating and wished there had been a PG. I really did not need to see Mr. Rochester naked, but some people may like that.
I liked that it was told in the wife's point of view. That was intriguing. I didn't like how it made Mr. Rochester look in parts because I thought it was unfair. But, I'm admittedly a Mr. Rochester fan so perhaps that's colored my opinion.
All in all I wish I had rented ... Read More:

This documentary shows that McCarthy and his House Unamerican Activities Committee went after Black artists, just as it did to whites.
The documentary starts with Morgan Freeman, imitating many other PBS narrators, pretending like he's reading a book and then speaking to the camera. This introduction had me rolling on the floor. This documentary features Harry Belafonte and the elderly actress from the TV series "Amen." It also includes Ossie Davis (surprisingly, sans Ruby Dee) before he passed. This may bring a tear to the eyes of his fans. This work does an effective job of showing how any progressive Black artist interested in Civil Rights could be misconstrued and punished as a supposed Communist. Urban Works, which usually produces pop cultural modern pieces, ... Read More:

This is simply in response to the latest review made by "a viewer" about this film. I, quite simply, feel that the review has a level of narrow-mindedness about the film and recommend not basing your choice on their review. To state "do the world a favor and get rid of them" as well as saying that these criminals are "irredeemable and beyond any rehabilitation" is very prejudiced. The lack of restorative justice and the inability to find an effective deterrent is not necessarily the fault of the people who commit criminal acts, but is that of the state. Before saying that you wish that the cop was there to "take care of the hustlers and muggers that prey upon innocent visitors in (otherwise beautiful) places like Montego Bay and Negril" you should try to question why these muggers and ... This is a soap opera mystery, complete with sudsy acting (count the rolled eyes, smirks, "Oh, my Gods," and loud exhales) and sappy writing. There is a wronged woman, a cheating husband, a black buddy (mouthing cliches),and a predictable switcheroo at the end. Surely this production was designed for at least one of the feminist television networks. The best that can be said it is that it contains some unintentional satire about contemporary movie makers....who think that we are all about fourteen.
