Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii - Great, great, great, great!!!! This DVD contains the "Director's Cut" as well as the original concert film. Basically the Director's cut features lots of extra visuals, including computer graphic recreations of Pompeii, the exploding Vesuvius, and other things like NASA shots of rockets going up into space, space walks, images of suns and stars and moons and planets, all the usual things you'd expect of someone depicting a "space rock" band. It also has some extra bits from the studio in Paris when they were recording "Dark Side of the Moon." The Directors Cut starts out with space and planets animated instead of the big zoom-in to the arena in Pompeei of the original film. Not really an improvement, although it's ... Read More:

Any one who loved the "Dark Side of the Moon" should see this. Especially for all you musicians and recording engineers. I bought the album when it was first released on vinyl and wore it out, and bought it again. And bought it again years later on CD. This DVD is a must see for all true Floyd fans.

Not a remake of the 1947 detective film with the same title, this one stars Nick Nolte and Julia Roberts as two competing Chicago newspaper reporters who meet while investigating a mysterious train crash. They eventually untangle a conspiracy involving corrupt scientists and cancer causing goat milk. The film is intended as an homage to Howard Hawks' comedies like "His Girl Friday" and "Bringing up Baby," but due to the seriousness of the crime and lack of chemistry between the two leads, midway through starts feeling more like "Silkwood."
Husband and wife team Charles Shyer and Nancy Meyers previously milked the forties screwball comedy formula with "Father of the Bride," but there are too many unsettling red herrings and not enough real love to make this ... Read More:

This is an excellant science fiction movie. Donald Sutherland gives another fine performance and all the acting is really good. Lots of action through the whole movie. I loved it.

I just watched this movie with some friends and it's mediocre at best. The is a ok story that somewhat keeps your attention but it's something you would see on tv. The movie in not high calliber in anyway, heck it wasn't really even that sensual.....but is it worth a watch? sure

Syd Barrett will be greatly missed. His whimsical songwriting style was unique and greatly influenced many famous musicians like David Bowie. This dvd is an essential purchase for those wishing to know about a genuis.

Delta Force 3. What a disapointment. Following up the trancendant Delta Force 2, this crapfest was like going out with Eva Longoria Friday night, and Rosie O'Donnell on Saturday. I have no problem with overweight people, but Rosie is just hard to look at. I think I heard that somewhere before. Anyway, Mike Norris as we all know gave us a star effort in the classic Death Ring, but in this one, he was not the same man. In Delta Force 3, he was the biggest lamest, whimpiest geek! We, Sid the Elf, are starting to think that his integral part in Death Ring was due more to the supperior writing than Mike Norris's performance.
Also, there were these Arabs who were vacilitating between their Middle eastern accents and no accent at all. Usually, this is a very good thing, but in this ... Read More:
After watching "Caveman" ASIN: 6302658489, to see what life was really like way back then, it is time to speculate on what-if a cave dweller was thawed out in our time. We can not just choose anyone to portray a cave man in today's environment. So we pick an expert that already thinks this way, Brendan Fraser. To balance this we must also find someone to portray the serious scholar that observes and guides him through the intricacies of today's environment from driving to the Seven-Eleven; that person can only be Pauly Shore. Every serious scholar must have a protagonist to anchor the story, hence Sean Astin later to play "Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron" (1995) ASIN: 6303801919
