As one would gather from my review of `Caddy Shack', there is just some humor that, while achieving much praise and cult status, I just don't really get. You'd expect that since I was not a huge fan of `Caddy Shack' that I also would find `National Lampoons Vacation' to be a bit of an overpraised comedy, but what you fail to realize is that Chevy Chase was my favorite thing about `Caddy Shack' and when you strip away everything I didn't really like about the golfing spectacle you are left with `Vacation', a film that I can very much enjoy.

I need to correct the review by "J. Glemby" when he states that the Region 2 release is anamorphic widescreen. It is a "faked" widescreen rather than true anamorphic. The case is correct when it says that the screen aspect is 4:3 Letterboxed. In other words, the actual frame size is 4:3 with the black bars on top and bottom as part of the frame image. With a true widescreen presentation, the black bars are generated by the DVD player/TV with the full screen resolution dedicated to the movie image. When the Region 2 disc is viewed on a 16:9 TV, you will have to manually expand the image to fill the screen. That means that you are zooming in which essentially lowers the resolution. This movie changed my life entirely. When I first heard of it, I thought, "since it's a Steven Spielberg film I thought it was going to be a movie really about world war II, but it actually was a parody of world war II films. Even at tHe begining of this movie, I laughed my bottom off! It also has a magnificent cast including John Belushi and Dan Akroyd. (a.k.a. The Blues Brothers) Although a very long movie, you will definitly enjoy it. I would even pay you to see it. But i'm not aloud to, i am only 11 years old. Please type your comments. The Wiggles: Pop Go the Wiggles

We purchased this because it seemed to be the "latest" release of the Wiggles. It is all nursery rhymes, which is cute, but tends to be less energetic than "Wiggly Dancing" or some of the other popular DVDs/CDs. I enjoyed hearing nursery rhymes that I hadn't heard since I was a child. My daughter's interest wasn't held as well as some of the other DVDs since it was less interactive. The characters looked more like they were posing/acting out pages in a nursery rhyme book than performing or dancing. The dancing just wasn't as energetic as DVDs in the past.
