Writing a play is a tiresome burden when you don't have the faintest idea what it is going to be about but you need to hand it over real soon. Fortunately, Will Shakespeare finds his muse and the authors of the screenplay also had at least a brief encounter with theirs.
Basically a romantic comedy SIL offers much more that the standard "boy meets girl, boy loses girl" scenario - they present it in a fantastically well rendered setting taking as much as they could from the Swan of the Avon.
A perfect way to spend an afternoon - you get your share of romance, adventure, and literary history (the latter should not be taken at face value, however). Do you need more?

Swing Kids has always been a favorite movie of mine, since I first saw it in college. Seeing it again after having been in the music business for 8 years, many of the musical references and jokes are clearer to me now and made the movie that much better. Musician or not, I highly recommend renting/buying this flick.

I can't say enough good things about Kipper. He has a very calming effect on my son, yet he makes him laugh. My son loves the Sun DVD as Kipper brings his friends along to the beach for fun. Definitely a good buy if your child loves Kipper!

Doc Martin: Series 1

I found this series while home sick and trolling through the instant watch section on Netflix. What a find! This series is astoundingly well written and well acted. I was not familiar with Martin Clunes (outside of his smaller part in Shakespeare in Love), but now I can't wait to see more. This is listed as a comedy, but it is more of a "dramedy" really. The humor comes from the main character's absolutely miserable bedside manner. Characters, in fact, are the essence of this show. They are all wonderful. And the Cornish scenery is an extra treat.

There is no direct comparison to US tv in my mind-it's just too real. Possibly a hint of Northern Exposure, ER, Seinfeld, and Frasier? And Archie Bunker springs to mind, but I'm not sure ... Read More:

My granddaughter loves this movie.. She watches it in the summer to remind her of winter fun and Christmas. She has always loved the Kipper movies and will pass this one down to her little sister.

Kipper - Playtime

When my first child was a toddler I bought our first Kipper video; it was a fantastic hit. I have since had two more children and they have each loved Kipper in turn. Even now, the older children will sit down and watch Kipper with the youngest. We have many of the Kipper videos and while other shows have become popular with my children for a time Kipper remains a classic, he never fails to capture their imagination.
I would recommend any of the Kipper series; they are fun, simple and calming shows to watch.

This series is wonderful for kids. The DVD we had of this particular video broke so I replaced it with a used VHS version - which arrived quickly and worked perfectly.
