I bought it because my son loved part 2. The second one is better. If you have to choose, get Kids Favorite Songs 2. This one is good though.
Release Date June 08, 2004
This is the rare release that isn't full of Elmo, or other screeching, hyper, idiocy, like so much of the current stuff. Instead it's gentle, but still plenty of fun. It also has the wit absent in most of the current Sesame Street productions, wit that made the old Sesame Street so very special. My nearly two year old loves it, and I don't mind watching it, either.
Release Date June 11, 2002
This is fairly good for a child just introduced to phonics and letter blending. It uses the blended letter sounds, as well as taking away a letter and adding a different letter in order to make a new word. We have only watched it once thus far; so, my review is not the greatest, sorry. BTW - I loved Sesame Street as a child and now my 5-year-old loves it also:-)
Release Date August 05, 2003
This is by far the best Sesame Street DVD by Sony Wonder. My 19 month old loves it, especially Frazzle. He repeatedly asks for Frazzle by going "Arghhh" and shaking his head. It is also nice to hear some of the old songs I had in my Sesame collection, like Fur, Frazzle, and C is for Cookie. 10/10

I bought this video for my daughter after a family member of mine sang "What's the name of that song" to my daughter. It reminded me of when I was a child & bought it so we could enjoy something together that I had enjoyed as a child. Its adorable & my daughter (2) loves it & no sings along.
Release Date January 14, 2003
I bought this years ago for my kids when they were Elmo-crazy. They're past that phase now but I can't seem to part with my VHS copy. I know, that's crazy right? But it is one of my all time favorite (little) kids movies. If you like rhythmic music this one will entertain YOU as well as your kids. The STOMP performers are excellent and the tunes are very catchy.
My niece is now Elmo-obsessed but I can't seem to part with my copy so I'm on amazon buying one for her. Guess you could say that's the definition of this being "a keeper!"

Opethian cookie monster vocals are simply silly. When you can sing as well as he can then why not just stick to regular. I cringe when I hear that. I would rather listen to the original Cookie Monster.

As a rock and roller, who occasionaly pushes the stroller.. having a young one of my own, I definately like to recommend stuff that rock and roll parents can enjoy with their rock and roll kids. The title here says it all. Rock and Roll.
Sesame Street has been the tops when it comes to rockin kid songs since the sixties man!
THE WORD IS NO song is sung by a non muppet, and a pretty cute non puppet at that. Gina, from back in the days when she was a ripped jeans wearing teenager on the show in the eighties. I like it. Holds up.
Others hold up too. MONSTER IN THE MIRROR, TELEPHONE ROCK, the Rolling Stones parody (I Cant Get No) COOPERATION (the Mick Jagger muppet is hillarious!), or the HIP TO BE[a]SQUARE song.
Admittedly there ... Read More:

My two-year-old granddaughter loves Elmo, I love anything Halloween, we both love the Count, so this DVD was made for us! If you're looking for something fun and off the beaten Elmo path, then this is it! The story line is Elmo is going to visit the Count at his castle to share some "scary" jokes with him, and fun monster songs and "old school" songs by the Count are mixed in between. My granddaughter watched this everyday for a week (and then five times in a row when she was sick) when we first discovered it, and she still enjoys revisiting it. I must confess that I loved the songs so much that I bought one of the now discontinued CDs of the same title, and my granddaughter loves listening to the music when we drive around in the car (she always asks for ...
