I love this movie/concert production by the always brilliant and funny Dave Chappelle! The music is amazing, the commentaries and insightful, and Dave's jokes are appropriate (it's not a comedy or stand-up, he's just being himself). As a child of the 70s, I can appreciate this movie on so many levels. First of all, it is reminiscient of the movie concerts of the past (before You Tube, etc.). Secondly, the music and the choice of musicians is brilliant. However you want to categorize the artists (Hip Hop, Neo Soul, etc), they are the voice of now and conscious artists who commit not only to their artistry but also to being activist and supporters of the community. A clear and very well organized DVD. I love the historical clips added to show the story of Rasta and Bob. It is a very nice DVD to have as a collection. I did hear the DVD can be found at other retail stores like Fry's at a lower price.

I was introduced to this DVD at an audio discount store. Though I bought nothing that day, I stayed and watched this complete concert. As soon as I got home I ordered a copy through Amazon. This DVD is the best representation of a balanced production I have seen in some time. The audio engineering is outstanding, the stage decorations are appropiate,the video work is up close and personal, and the performances are of the highest quality for each artists. This is one of my favorite musical DVDs.

It was not horrible, but this movie was really cheesy and had no substantial plot. I was rather disappointed. It was worth seeing but only if you get it for a very low price or catch it on t.v.

I bought this DVD for my 3 year old granddaughter when she came to stay with me. It is possitively brilliant. Favorites read and sung by celebrities separated by charming and lovable "interviews" with young children about their dreams and dreaming experiences. My granddaughter LOVED it and watched it over and over again during her ten day visit. It is so enjoyable that you will be charmed also and not tire of watching with her.
Gentle, funny, and beautifully illustrated. I hightly recommend it.
