In my opinion a "Romantic State of Mind" is the true SAVIOR for the young generation. But the romantic state of mind is not given to people at birth, every young person needs to build it. In my opinion A Walk to Remember and the book this movie is based upon serve that great purpose. A Walk to Remember is one of the brightest products of the Great American Culture.

"A Walk to Remember." Understand my full meaning when I say that this movie, an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks' novel of the same name, is my favorite love story. Period. I know there are parts that have room for improvement, such as the dialogue in the beginning, but I love this movie like I love every good story. Unreasonably and fully.

I first saw this movie when I was in high school. I caught it in the middle during an airing on HBO, and was captivated by how Landon (Shane West) and Jamie (Mandy Moore) came together, how it not only sent Landon on a soul searching path to redemption, it also enriched Jamie's life in a way that is hard to describe. Definately not as good as the first film, but still good film making. Roth was in an awkward position with this movie, since everyone allready knew the big plot twist, there was nothing left to shock the audience(other than bringing the blood, which he did)

Bottom line, Enjoyable flick, not as groundbreaking as the first entry.

Video and audio quality on the blu disc are nothing short of amazing. If you liked the movie, this should be a definite buy.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

This remake of TCM doesn't really add anything new to the horror genre, nor is it necessarily an improvement when compared with the original, but when viewed without any expectations it makes for a solid thriller.

The formula is pretty standard: Pretty kids get shredded in creative ways by a gruesome killer. What I liked most about this film is the well crafted atmosphere of isolation and decrepitude. The environs of the forgotten little southern town where all this takes place are creepy yet believable, albeit in a "all southerners are inbred crazies" sort of way.

The film contains enough gore but doesn't go over-the-top, and it's clever enough to keep leatherface at least partially concealed for the majority of the film. They ... Read More:

I saw Love and Mary at the Los Angeles Film Festival and met the director Elizabeth Harrison after the viewing. I was blown away by the small budget and time frame it took to produce this wonderful gem of a film! Yes, it takes place in Texas, but it will remind you of any hometown, and everyone has relatives like this! The audiance was laughing so hard during most of the film, I'm sure I missed several funny lines, so am looking forward to watching it again. The two leads are great, but the "lesser" cast members steel the show. I made my boyfriend go with me, begrudingly, and he laughed just as loud as everyone else and thanked me afterwards for making him go! Don't miss this flick, it will brighten your day!

I first saw this movie on cable. I don't know why I watched it because I'm 76 and hardly concerned with drugs or teens. However, I found the movie excellent and not the usual slam bang drug movie. I was familiar with the main character because he was in Six Feet Under. I also was impressed with him in another movie (the name escapes me now) about a sexual encounter.

Well, back to the ranch....RX somehow got lost in the media shuffle but deserves a much wider audience. I bought this movie after viewing it for the 2nd time for a library I support. This should deter any drug selling wannabes in the teen crowd.

If you have not seen this movie rent it, buy it, TIVO it. The drug them aside...the acting and storyline is very well done.
