The film starts good, but the ending is so corny and stupid I felt like a moron for even watching the entire thing.
The acting is ok, the script is ok, everything about this movie is just ok.
Right when you think it's about to get really good, it doesn't!!!
An ok movie, just boring and mediocre, and the ending just RUINS the entire film.
I felt totally ripped off by the time I turned it off.
Another Hollyweird stinkbomb!!!
AVOID!!!!!!!

The Perfect Holiday is not necessarily a bad movie but its far from a good one too. While I admire a movie that does not try to be offensive and wants to be positive there is a thin line from being a little schmaltzy to laying it on real thick. The movie is not unwatchable. It has a talented all-star cast that do a decent job acting but the script is hackneyed and cheesy to a fault plus its pretty bland.

The story: Gabriell Union plays Nancy, a newly divorced woman who's daughter overhears her conversation about what she wants from a man: a compliment. Antwone Fisher is a good film based on a true story but Denzel Washington's directorial debut is a bit much and soapy. The acting is great from Washington and Derek Luke but the way the movie is portrayed is unsettling and emotionally draining. The story of Antwone Fisher is heartbreaking but I just feel this film is one-sided. Good story, bad execution.

Actually, I was having a sleepless night & changing TV channels, i came across this movie where Syed was having an argument with his friend in the toilet. This movie could be boring to some because it limits you between the party-holder-toilet & Syed's Apartment. I loved it because I found it amazing how some guy can be in so deep love with this girl but during their relationship he doesn't show his affection, his passion & his love. They always argue & argue about everything and anything. She leaves him because he is so proud to admit his mistakes & to prove his love. & when he doesn't, he became to know it was already late. It is sad, but down-to-earth.

The movie is in the same class as 'Zodiac' in that it uses real events and people, keeps up the suspense and, in the end, gets one sooooo very angry at a system that knows what to do, what is right, and doesn't follow through allowing people to get away with murder. 'Hunting Party' is actually almost unbelievable but at the end, you learn the truth of a number of the actual people in the movie. Also Gere does such a good job with what happens when a journalist can no longer be simply a reporter.
