The condition of the movie and case appeared to be brand new. From time of purchase to receiving product was within the expected wait time. I would gladly to business with this person again.
Release Date June 01, 2004
A cautionary tale showing the dangers of misguided societal pressure, and the importance of leaders that should lead society, instead of following it. This movie dramatically brings to life the play we all had to read in school. Well directed with many of the best actors giving outstanding performances. A must see film.

I bought the "Legacy Series" disc to get a wide screen version, and it is a very fine upgrade from my older 4:3 aspect version.
I can't comment on the additional content of the second disc. I generally don't even watch that stuff.
OK, I am an avid fan of Jane Austen, but Bridget Jones is NOTHING like Austen. Anyone with the slightest of ideas on the subject can see that.
Helen Fielding wrote both the novel and the screenplay to Bridget Jones's Diary and yes, it is loosely based on Pride and Prejudice. Can I repeat loosely!!! After seeing The BBC version of Pride and Prejudice Fielding based the male character of Mark Darcy on Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, because of course she was taken by him and Colin Firth's portrayal.(as so many of us also are) Other than some basic character traits they really are two completely different tales about different sets of people in drastically different times.
But with all Austen-isms aside, Bridget Jones(Renee ... Read More:

I bought the one disc version of this. I was not happy with it because the songs were not in their entirety. I waited until the price came down and I was ready. I am so glad. What a wonderful experience this is. To see the artists in 1985 is an adventure. Even the oganizer Bob G performing is wonderful. Do buy this and forget about your problems for a while and be part of this. A good cause and a beautiful day. It is easy to find the artist you want to listen to. The menu is so helpful. This brings a lot of joy to share with friends, don't watch it alone have people over. You will be singing and taking it in.

Colin Farrell and Ewan MacGregor turn in stellar performances as brothers in "Cassandra's Dream," a stark tragedy which demands that its protagonists choose between loyalty to family and the right thing to do; and because of their respective failings, they become enmeshed in a net from which there is no escape.
It is clear that Woody Allen is not out to please the average movie-goer (nor should he necessarily), because throughout the film he alludes to Greek tragedy in general. By beginning slowly--perhaps a bit too slowly--and then tightening the screws of the plot, Allen takes his characters to the critical moment where they have a choice, and then, after a final twist when they pass the point-of-no-return, he begins to loosen his grip on the plot ... The realism in this film is what makes it one of my all time favorites. The footage of real B17s in operation; the real war footage while on a mission, and the story itself are as good as it gets. The extra commentary on the second DVD is a wonderful addition of insights to making the film.

Imagine a film where Colonel "King" Kong (Slim Pickens) tells his B-52 crew, "Well boys, this is it. Nuclear combat toe to toe with the Rooskies!" Sterling Hayden as Gen. Jack D. Ripper who -- fearing contaminating his bloody fluids -- launches a nuclear attack on Russia. George C. Scott as Gen. "Buck" Turgison: "I'm not saying we're not going to get our hair mussed. Ten million casualties, twenty million tops." Then there is Peter Sellers in several roles: an RAF Liasion officer, the President of the United States and Dr. Strangelove -- a former Nazi scientist, crippled with an arm that gives an involuntary "Seig Heil" nazi salute. A brilliant dark satire from Stanley Kubrick (coming in the wake of being fired from the Brando western ONE-EYED JACKS and directing the Kirk ... Read More:

One character in "Irma La Douce" describes the love between Jack Lemmon's sad sack and Shirley MacLaine's heart-of-gold streetwalker as "cute". Herein lies my problem with the film. I liked it, though it was a little overlong, but I was expecting something a little edgier from director Billy Wilder and his co-scenarist I.A.L. Diamond. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they were adapting someone else's work instead of creating something original. Lemmon and MacLaine still have that distinct chemistry but it's not as apparent as it was in Wilder's masterwork, "The Apartment". One pronounced credit to the film is the hilarious turn by Lou Jacobi as Moustache, Lemmon's mentor and dispenser of advise. Not a bad film but I would behoove you to check out Jules Dassin's ...
