While the talent discoveries of executive music industry luminaries such as Berry Gordy and Clive Davis have been celebrated in the media and lionized in pop music history, Ahmet is perhaps the greatest (in terms of significant artists signed) A&R man the industry has ever known.
Discovering John Mingus, John Coltrane, Wynton Marsalis, the Clovers, the Coasters, the Drifters, Ben E. King, Otis Redding, Ray Charles, Bobby Darin, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Roberta Flack, Eric Clapton, Chic, and Kid Rock. He was also instrumental in galvanizing the careers of Booker T. and the MGs, Aretha Franklin, Phil Collins, and Bette Midler - to name a few.
His story, primarily told by Ahmet himself with the help of many of ... Read More:

I got to see this on the big screen as part of the DVD promotion. If you want to see why LZ was a great live band, get the self titled DVD.
For years, the only live Zeppelin you could get were either bootlegs or this movie, but since Page opened the vault, you've had the "BBC Sessions" and "How The West Was Won" (also the beginning of the "Houses of the Holy" tour, TSRTS was the end of the tour), both of which decimated the original soundtrack. Until the rerelease. So do get the soundtrack CD even though you might think owning the movie alone is fine. It sounds great and you can throw those old copies away.
But the DVD is meant to be played loud on a surround system. The original film was shown in some theaters in Quadrophonic, ... Read More:

If you are a Led Zeppelin fan, this is a must have for your collection. The transfer to hi-def is excellent, much better than I expected for a 32 year old film. And the remastered sound (from stereo to 5.1) is also excellent. This is one dvd that is worth watching all the extras as well. I would recommend this dvd to anyone who appreciates the music of Led Zeppelin.

I am extremely pleased with this set. I had never heard of "The Littles" before I came across it as I was searching for something for my almost 8 year old daughter. I took a chance and hit the jackpot! She loves it! I gave it to her on a long vacation trip and it kept her busy so I didn't have to hear "Are we there yet?" The packaging is quality and I like the fact that it is a "teaching" cartoon and not just a silly time killer. She is still watching it now that we are back from vacation. She likes shows such as "Alvin & The Chipmunks", "Josie & The Pussycats", "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons". If your child likes these kinds of cartoons, then you really should give this one a chance!

This satiric look at 50s life in Putnam's Landing, NY is hilarious. A rocket trip to outer space, a reenactment of the Puritan Landings, Joan Collins trying to seduce Paul Newman, and you know he wantes Joan at times, many times. Joanne Woodward thowing TV Dinners into her wall oven for her children who are hollering all the time in front of a Sylvania TV with that awful white glow around it. On it all goes, and it is marvellous fun.
But, it stabs at the 50s and its falsehoods with abandon; it is way ahead of its time and fabulous.
Get this film and laugh and wonder at the surreal ways peole lived in the 50s with war sacres and nuclear weapo9nry talked abpout every day of the week, and Eisenhower and Nixon..I was there and this is wonderfully accurate. ... Read More:

This is just a bootleg release of officially released material from the Led Zeppelin DVD, And if you need addtional proof that it is a bootleg look no farther than the title of the DVD which is "Minnesota Blues". I have an old vinyl Led Zeppelin bootleg from Japan from the '70s that called the song that due to poor English translation. The name of the song is "Mess O' Blues" recorded by many artists but probably most famously by Elvis Presley. Buy the official Led Zeppelin DVD. The CD material is widely available bootleg material.

At first appearance, it looks like a mediocre collection of vintage female wrestling clips, most of which are pretty redundant. The shorts (both in and out of the ring) are interesting and somewhat humourous, but I highly recommend it solely for the inclusion of PIN DOWN GIRLS, a great exploitation fillm starring Tim Farrell and the wondrous, mysterious Peaches Page. A great find!
