I enjoy both of the films.
I 1st watched them simply to see Julie's performance.
The film is cute but flawed, NOT near perfect. Some scenes work, others drive you crazy on how cheesy they are.

After the surgery that hurt Julie's ability to sing the chance to see her sing in the film DISNEY HAD TO RUIN TO ADD THAT RAVEN GIRL IN THE SONG JUST BECAUSE SHE HAD A SHOW ON THE DISNEY CHANNEL AT THE TIME. JULIE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN A SONG SHE COULD DO ON HER OWN. Do we need to point out Julie's Disney history? Her 1st film "Mary Poppins" won her the Oscar. The soundtrack won an Oscar & Julie sang several memorable songs. Did Disney forget this?

Yes, this is a horrible movie! It starts out in realism, pretty much like THE FIRM begins and then degenerates into the most collosally absurd fantasy I have ever seen! It makes no sense whatsoever, and to hear Al Pachino sound off the Devil's "lofty" harangue against God was tediously long and super nauseating. And the ending? Forget it! reductio ad absurdum. Save your money and pass this one by--FAST!!! Unless you love being tortured by a devil-may-not-care story.

I enjoyed the first Hostel movie due to it's entertainment/shock value. It was actually pretty funny, but at the same time it had very ominous undertones. Hostel 2 however, is a much better movie in my opinion. Director/Writer Eli Roth really put a lot into this movie. This movie had smarter characters, smarter plot points, and it was executed better. Roth made the smartest decision of all when he decided to continue the storyline started in the first Hostel. Too many movies have attempted to do too much with sequals, instead of sticking to what the movie is supposed to be. Lets face it, everyone that watches Hostel 2 knows exactly what to expect. No one does Black Comedy better than Todd Soldonz, and while this won't have one watching through their fingers like his follow-up "Happiness," but this surely will go down as the most-scathing portrayal of junior high ever filmed. Low-budget, but with writing and acting like this I don't need great lighting or a slick production. If you hated junior high, highly reccomended. If you were a Mean Girl or Boy, you will see how your actions affected others.

Scream 3 (Dimension Collector's Series)

I liked part one the best, part two was kind of so so.
But I loved the conclusion.
The main character has been driven into isolation, the entire cast seems to have moved on with their lives the best they can considering everything that happened.
Until an new killer shows up and drags everyone back into it again.
The acting was good, the direction was good as was the story.
It was cool to see Randy's videotape.
The entire thing wraps up in a very innovative way.
I hope they don't do a fourth one.
Three was enough and I think the Scream trilogy will withstand the test of time.........maybe.
Still, I recommend the entire trilogy.
It puts some new and interesting spins on the tired old horror genre.
