I have purchased all 3 sets so far. My kids (10 and 7)love them all. It keeps them entertained specially in long road trips and it introduces them to artists of years past, some of which have past away but that never the less will always be famous entertainers. It also creates a bond between me and my boys. They ask question about some guests appearances and characters as well as my childhood and life in the 80's, which is always good. Kids communicating with parents in such away is always a good thing. So if you like the muppets buy this product and re-live your youth as well as maybe start a new generation of fans in your kids.

I watched this movie as a kids and taped it off television when it was playing on the network, now that I have a clean copy where my brother hasn't taped over chunks of the film, I watch it more then ever. I am suprised how many of my friends have actually heard and/or seen the film too!

I remember watching "The Luck Child" over and over on VHS after recording it from TV when I was young and the series had just been released. As a HUGE fantasy fan it was all I could ask for. Many years later, long after the tape had been lost and DVDs had become the commonplace I had never forgot the joy this series had brought me in my youth and after much research found this DVD. This disc is NOT for the people who are looking for flawless animatronics or modern CGI technology... however, if you want delightful stories of myth and fantasy that are told by a witty storyteller and his "fearless" dog by the hearth then buy this today!!

This movie had me going right up until the final act, and then I watched it spiral out of control, as story and acting took a terrible u-turn and crashed on landing.
Now I'm not a big Denzel fan, but for the first 2/3rd of the film, he actually did a pretty good job. But whether it was the writer or the director(horrid want-to-be as good as my brother, Tony Scott), the last 30 minutes left me and my girlfriend shouting at the screen, "Move your butt, aren't there people to save!".
It's been awhile since I've viewed a movie where you can actually pinpoint the moment where everything derails, and all concept of time and logic is lost in the ashes.
Avoid this one.

Although not as good as the classic muppet movies, this movie still is enjoyable. Brain Henson has taken his father's muppets into the modern day-with space ships, roommates and popular music. In DVD the quality can't be beat! The story is fun and original and focuses on the ever allusive orgin of our favorite weird muppet, Gonzo. It's great for a family movie night and has laughs for everyone in the family!

Ok the documentary Dogtown and the Z Boys is more historic and correct, but I enjoy watching this much more. I started skate boarding in 1965 at Collage on a flat wooden board with steel wheels. Jan & Dean's song "Sidewalk Surfing" had spread it nation wide that spring. It was fun but nothing sensational, there was no skateboard culture. This movie,and yes the documentary tells the story of how a group of teenagers changed everything. Haggling about details changes nothing, this was a radical transformation by a small group of teenagers. Eat your hearts out Hippies.
I watch this movie every year before the X Games to remind myself how they really started.
