If I wanted to watch a bunch of other people singing Leonard Cohen songs interrupted by people talking, I'd go down to the local university quad, sit on the lawn and and roll a joint. (And sorry, Rufus Wainright is extremely overrated; Antony is just a freak show.) However, I was looking for a documentary about the man's life. There is all of about ten minutes of interview with him and about 5 between Bono and Edge, who themselves looked like they had something much more important to do. They didn't inverview Cohen's Buddhist teacher, but that may be his policy. Really the only insight is that Janis Joplin is the girl in "Chelsea Hotel" but even that's on Wikipedia.

Some people say that it is bad, but for me, it's very good, because you can see and learn about rock different things, obviously, this documentary miss a lot of information and discard rock history of many countries, but nothing it's perfect.

saw troll 2 on hbo back in 1992 or 1993.this movie is painfully boring.painful to watch.couldnt watch this with a migraine.people avoid this one.if u like a troll movie go with the first one.not the second.bad acting,bad scenes.too bad period.this is only for people who adore bad flicks.i just cannot do this one.also the opening credits music scared me half to death.i thought for a minute those goblins were right there beside me.this is a bad movie i dont care for.

I remember seeing this movie as a teenager and remembering how funny it was, as was the original Airplane!. My husband and I decided to buy it recently (2008) and haven't regretted it. The jokes are still funny even after all this time. Some of the younger crowd won't get some of the jokes (such as the gentleman singing "The Love Boat"), but for those born before 1980, it's a riot.

You must like physical humor and silly humor. If you don't like that kind of humor - don't bother.

I never realized how dated this variety show could be in its entirety. Carol Burnette had the right idea... Splice the BEST parts into 1/2 hour shows. Parts of these shows are really good but not entirely so. Cher's comments run about 5 minutes.

This was a great documentary. It has some great band interviews, live performances, behind the scenes footage and a few celebrity guests like B.B. King. Even though the Joshua Tree songs were mixed in with the live blues album, Rattle & Hum, that was recorded while the band was on tour, it's a great video. Bono owns the stage when he's performing. The camera work was excellent as it really gives you a front-row seat to an intimate U2 performance. I highly recommend this DVD.
