To be completely honest, when I first saw this film about five years ago I was under-whelmed. It had been hyped up and won all sorts of awards and received so much attention, and really I didn't see why. I was disappointed to say the least. Then last night I decided to give it another shot. Removing myself completely from the hype and praise and just amercing myself into the film was a huge plus for me, and I walked away from the experience singing it's praises like a church choir. The film moved me in ways I didn't remember the first time; its rich sense of honesty ringing through with every frame. The script is so real and raw, which I attest to the fact that director Cameron Crowe wrote this as a semi-autobiographic tale, and that first ... Read More:

While I have yet to see Herschell Gordon Lewis' original, I was fairly impressed with this horror remake. Crispin Glover was amusing in the role of Montag the Magnificent, and his monologues with his unsuspecting audience made gave me goosebumps. This film keeps you constantly guessing what comes next in it's downward spiral of insanity. I highly recommend it.

Why? because your image is beautiful, classy, pure, important. You do not need to get involved with crap like this because you are much better than that. I love you but don't turn me off like this again. Do the hit woman or the fairy tales or romance just anything but the ghetto stuff.

I recieved the movie in a timely manner and it was in the same condition the seller described it to be. I really enjoyed this movie as well and am now currently writing the inmate from this movie. I appreciate being able to find someone that was honest with their products. Thanks!

I enjoyed the first Hostel movie due to it's entertainment/shock value. It was actually pretty funny, but at the same time it had very ominous undertones. Hostel 2 however, is a much better movie in my opinion. Director/Writer Eli Roth really put a lot into this movie. This movie had smarter characters, smarter plot points, and it was executed better. Roth made the smartest decision of all when he decided to continue the storyline started in the first Hostel. Too many movies have attempted to do too much with sequals, instead of sticking to what the movie is supposed to be. Lets face it, everyone that watches Hostel 2 knows exactly what to expect. It wouldn't be Hostel if the characters don't end up being tortured by the Elite Hunting Club. Friday the 13th has ... Read More:

There are many films about loss released today; films that test the audiences ability to forgive and accept, to condone and condemn. `The Door in the Floor' is one of those films; a film that never allows room for an easy answer because the questions it asks are as complicated a question as one can find. While I have never read John Irving's novel `A Window for One Year', of which this film is adapted, I don't feel that the reading of that said novel is necessary to the connection one feels to the film. I've read that this film is only based on one third of the novel and so one must keep in mind that this story is not over yet (and hopefully it will encourage movie goers to research the novel, as I am in the process of doing myself).

I saw this in my Social Problems class, when we were discussing race and ethnicity. The use of "nigger" was used an excessive amount of time, surely to get the point across, however I just found it annoying. A bit long, but informational and midley entertaining. I would recommend renting this on NetFlixs rather than purchasing the movie. Good for a college classroom because it leads to good conversation among students.

This movie wasn't the greatest horror movie, but given the budget, I enjoyed it. The story is pretty cool, gets quite cheesy at times, but what horror movie doesn't. The voodoo idea was done in a way that was creepy and believable, but not overly Hollywood glamorized idea of Voodoo. I'd recommend this movie to someone who wants a good way to spend a Friday night.
