This is by far the best biography available on Mr. Buffett. I sincerely recommend it to anyone looking to have a more profound understanding of Mr. Buffett and the evolution of his investment style and life, covering a time period back to his ancesters to this date.

This book is not just reserved for business/investing oriented persons, but they should be encouraged to read it further. In my opinion, anyone can apply the lessons in the book to their own reality.

In a "think it, learn it, do it" way of thinking, this book and all available info on Mr. Buffett, his mentors, transcripts,etc; covers the "learn it" part. The rest of course is up to you.

Clear, insightful, and meaningful; a great sequel to "The World is Flat," this book should be required reading for informed and influential persons today. It is well researched with impressive and diverse references giving their varied perspectives on timely topics. I enjoyed the colorful writing style, tone and pace. I was very impressed by this book.

Even before I read Col. Bacevich's OUTSTANDING book, I wrote several letters to the editor at my local level warning the same thing; most were not printed as they were seen as being too long or stinging. Every vet who knows anything about anything that I served with in Iraq feels the same way. This is not a warning but a blunt rendition of the American requiem. While we were fighting our guts out, the chickenhawks fiddled our republic into the ground: going for broke.

Some very interesting ideas - but over all a "romance novel" book for women :) A great deal of detail about what the vampire does to please Sookie - very little about Sookie doing anything for him... Not a great read as a mystery - but romance novel lovers will like it.

So first off the only reason I'm even wasting my time with these books is because I am totally hooked on the HBO series and I don't want to wait years to find out what happens (even though the show is really nothing like the books)...SPOILER ALERT!!! The smartest thing Sookie has done thus far is when she "rescinded" (took back) the invitation into her house from Bill and Eric, which by the way I have never read a vampire book where that is even possible. I keep hoping one of these books will actually be a good read, but holy cow I'm having a hard time justifying the waste of time!

O'Reilly candidly writes about the first time he phoned his beloved Sister Lurana and made depraved sexual demands of her. Sister Lurana responded with a loud and angry "Shut up" repeated several times as O'Reilly joyfully continued his perverted sexual rantings on the phone. These early experiences with the iconic Sister Lurana obviously were key to forming his loud, blustery and sexually perverted persona that would make him the most successful commentator on TV.

Although most of his claims in this book, as in his tv show, are completely unsubstantiated, it is fun to read if you are not interested in reading.

It amazes me that a reporter would get an 8 year behind the scenes pass to the Bush administration, but Woodward did. No one has ever successfully challenged the quotations in his books which are absolutely stunning. "The War Within" shows a President disengaged from his own war, "outsourcing" it to National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley, who apparently idolizes Bush. And retired General Jack Keane is disgraceful: he served as a back door for his protege' General Petraeus direct to the Vice President, bypassing the Pentagon.

As I have said in my last three reviews on the previous books the only reason I putting myself through the time consuming cloud of these novels is because I love the show on HBO and don't want to wait years to find out what happens (even though the show seems like a different story at times). I was surprised though that this book was actually better then the first three. The story wasn't as choppy and Sookie seems to be acting her age and not like a baby. I am also surprised at how much I like Eric. The producers of the "True Blood" series didn't in my opinion choose the right man for the role. Here's hoping that every book in the series improves like this one did!
