The Velveteen Rabbitby: George Winston Release Date May 05, 2003 Friends of my parents had the audio cassette of this when I was a young kid (back in the 80s). They made a copy for me and my brother and we wore it out playing it every single night. To this day, I have the story memorized. Meryl Streep is a wonderful narrator and George Winston's beautiful, poignant music brings it to life. You simply cannot find a better version of this story. When the 20th Anniversary Edition came out, I snatched it up and was delighted to find that they put both narrated and un-narrated tracks on it. It's such a beautiful story! Both children and adults alike can enjoy it for many years. I concur with another reviewer who wrote that no household should be without it! |
