At the time people wanted Dylan to continue to play protest songs. On the first half of the concert we only get Dylan, guitar and harmonica. But instead of political songs we get introspective songs that deal with life, feelings and such. It is the seond cd part of the concert that was considered controversial. Here we have Dylan playing electric guitar and playing together with a rock band. Comments: Like new cds, except for a flaw on disc 1 that does not affect plaback. Disc 2 looks spotless. Slight wear on 2 corners of box otherwise art like new. Replacement case cause broken hinge. Discs tested with Exact Audio Copy program, it read and re-read both discs the same both times. A 2-CD set that includes the 8 electric rock songs, and the 7 solo acoustic songs that were the 1st half of the show. All in very good sound. The electric half is rock history. It's Dylan at his most controversial and hard rocking. He blazes thru classics Like a Rolling Stone & Ballad of a Thin Man, radical electric versions of songs that had been acoustic (One Too Many Mornings, I Don't Believe You), the hard rocker Tell Me, Momma, which Dylan never recorded in the studio. The acoustic disc equals the electric half quality-wise of material and performance. Plus a 56-page booklet with an essay by Dylan friend Tony Glover. It's as worthy of attention as anything else he recorded during the decade.
