- Excellent follow up........
......although I'm not comparing both efforts. To be honest what I enjoy most is his sound. His voice is excellent and yet if he wasn't talented it wouldn't make this CD the success that is right now.
Rating: - Another Solid Effort
After Gavin DeGraw's first CD, I couldn't wait for this new album to be released. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. After running through the songs a couple of times, I was singing along and really enjoying the heartfelt lyrics and catchy tunes. If you liked Stripped, you will like this...a stand out effort from a brilliant singer/songwriter who has a very bright future, indeed! Keep 'em comin'

The first album chariot was great this wasn't as good but it was still worth the wait.

I too must say I prefer his First CD. I *LOVED* his First CD!! This Cd does not have the same vibe, it lacks something....
What Happened Gavin!!???
I hope the next one is better... Or more like the first.

I think it is a mistake for those judging this CD only by how it compares to Chariot. This CD is different but it can and does stand on its own. As others have mentioned, you aren't left feeling like only 2 or 3 songs are worth playing. The whole CD is good. It's also interesting to see how many of the reviews have dramatically different favorites or noteworthy songs. Again, in my opinion, that's because they are all good.
My personal favorites are:

Medicate the Kids
She Holds a Key
In Love with a Girl
