- Gavin DeGraw ROCKS the House
Gavin DeGraw latest release "I'm in Love with the Girl" is one of those RARE songs that you love on first listen. The album was a great purchase.. Met him at the KISS 108 Summer Concert in Boston, MA.. He is not only a great entertainer but also a cool guy! Support coolness and buy this album!

This is a great album and I received it in a timely fashion! I would recommend it to anyone!

I purchased his first CD and loved it. I expected the follow-up to be more like the first. I ordered it without sampling it and...what a let down. I have already given it away. If you're wanting to experience more of a softer sound, you won't find it in this cd. It just seemed very loud and very harsh to my ears.

I'm old enough to be DeGraw's father, so my review is music based, not along the lines of infatuation.
I was very impressed by DeGraw's first CD, and looked forward to this secong outing. Unfortunately, I think it's representative of a typical sophomore slump effort.
The last few slower, ballad-type tunes are pretty good, but the front end of the CD feels very forced and uninspired. He seems to be battling the musical form of writer's block, but would appear to have been forced to get product out by the record company.
The muse don't come visit every day, and I think they passed Gavin by on this effort.

Once again Gavin offers us his remarkable work on his new album. His style has remained the same, yet the sound is still fresh and outstanding. Each song has its own story and meaning and it seems like he seeks to send a message out there(ex. "Medicate the Kids"). His lyrics are not that simple but able to touch every person, at every aspect. He speaks mostly of love, relationships and gives alternative ways of facing life in general. Easy and pleasant to listen to, another great work from a great musician.
