Of course like most people, I fell in love with Emmy's voice in "The Phantom of the Opera." This album was well worth the wait. She is amazing. What's with those pictures? Kind of provocative, don't you think? Well, anyway, her voice is magnificent. Definitely no regrets buying this album. Everyone should have their very own copy!

Rating: - Waiting For More!
After hearing Emmy's amazing voice on Phantom of the Opera I waited with anticipation for her upcoming album. I knew with a voice like that and with the style of music she was writing, the CD would, at the very least, be good. After listening to it once I knew it would be a fabulous treat for the ears! The many layers of her voice on each track give you something new to listen to, study, work out in your mind. And the lyrics were so unbelieveably real. I think they could speak to anyone who listened because we've all been to the places where most of the songs take us. "Stay" is my favorite song because it starts out kind of slow, sweet and almost comforting then builds and builds to a climax that leaves you with a burst of passion and exhilaration. The only complaint I can muster is that I agree with another review in that I was expecting some power behind that voice and rarely heard it. I am perfectly happy with the album as it is but I am hoping her next album will showcase some of that opera house training she's had! All in all, I think it's a phenomenal album and I can't wait to hear more from Emmy!

Emmy Rossum the girl with the wonderful voice when she stared in the Pantom of the Opera. I have waited two years to get her cd and I am thrilled with her performances within it. Emmy has a quality in her voice that I find very attractive and warming.

Rating: - Rossum Disapoints
I eagerly awaiting Emmy's "Inside Out" after her role in Phantom of the Opera. I have been disappointed in what I hear. The crossover from Opera to Pop doesn't work with the material she is singing. Most of the time the tempo is too slow and notes held too long. I love Opera and the unrefined beauty of Rossum's voice and talent. Unfortunately, her voice is covered and masked by loud synthesizers, piano and string instruments. I find this to be distracting, over dramatic clashing with the lightness of the subject matter she is singing. Her star will still shine bright, just not in the Pop world.

I was reading A LOT of the reviews and all the people who rated this album poorly, I wonder if we are listening to the same album.

Emmy Rossum's debut album not only does her voice justice but the lyrics are deep and meaningful. It is a little Imogen Heap reminiscent, but that is not a bad thing. The vocals on this album are truly astonishing, if anyone actually did research before purchasing the album everyone who was disappointed would have realized this was not meant to be a classical album. After Phantom she was offered MANY record deals to record a classical album, and she turned them down because she wanted to do something more contemporary. A goal that she accomplished.

I definitely recommend this album to anyone who enjoys music. Every track is amazing and blows me away. My personal favorite track is, Anymore.
