Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another great release
If you're a Lifehouse fan then you will likely agree, it just keeps getting better. :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Another Great Addition!
No matter how many albums that they continue to produce, Lifehouse will always be a special band to me. Unlike most fans, Hanging By A Moment was not the first song that I heard from them several years ago. One of my friends was listening to Everything and I was immediately inspired. As a Christian, I was able to find symbolism in these lyrics: "And how can I stand here with you, and not be moved by you?" "No Name Face" has and will always have a special place in my CD collection.

Anyway, I've dwelled enough in the past for now. Their new album, "Who We Are," does not disappoint. I just bought it yesterday, but I've already found some favorites. These include First Time, Whatever It Takes, The Joke, and Easier To Be. The only downside with this album is that Lifehouse decided to go with more of an acoustic style compared to a rock/alternative feel. You won't find as many songs that sound similar to Sick Cycle Carousel, Quasimodo, Breathing, Spin, Take Me Away, Blind, etc. However, I believe that's what makes them unique. If you want to hear some heavier tunes, they've got 3 past albums that are solid.

On a positive note, I feel that Jason Wade's lyrics and melodies have greatly improved and I can see nothing but good things to come from Lifehouse in the future.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - What a songwriter!
This is the fourth album by Lifehouse, and it does not disappoint. In my opinion, Lifehouse will never top their first album, No Name Face, but Who We Are is an excellent example of their musical and songwriting abilities. All their albums are great, and I find myself putting them on all the time.

This album has more of a rocker feel then their previous albums, with more upbeat songs. The title track, "First Time" is excellent, and characterizes a lot of the music on this album. Other notable upbeat songs are Disarray, the opening track, and The Joke, which is unlike anything Lifehouse has done before. I admit I didn't like this song at first, but now I love it. I think any Lifehouse fan will tell you that they write great ballad songs, and this album has some great examples. Broken is the best song on this album, and will pull at your heartstings. Other excellent songs are Whatever it Takes and Learn You Inside Out. The final song, Storm was written by lead singer Jason Wade when he was 16, and it is a tribute to all those Lifehouse fans that have been around since the beginning.

The songs that Lifehouse plays all sound amazing, but what really makes them one of the greatest bands around is the lyrics. Wade has an unparalled ability to write lyrics that really reach out to you, and make you feel what he is feeling. If you take the time to really listen to what he's saying, you'll understand, there is simply no one better (in my opinion).

If you ever get a chance to see these guys live, DO IT! There is no one better at a live performance, and I think their live versions can be better than their studio versions.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - They did it again!
Lifehouse are the only band I'll listen to without skipping any songs. And they've done it again. This is a great album! Songs like "Broken" and "Easier To Be" show Jason Wade's growth as a singer/songwriter, while "Storm" shows that he can still write a powerful song with a slow build that takes you on a journey. These guys just get better and better!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love this CD
I bought this at the same time as the new Wilco CD. They have a similar feel to them but I enjoy the Lifehouse CD more. I can listen to it over and over. I recommend it to everyone. I especially like "Whatever It Takes" and "Easier To Be Me". All the songs on this CD can resonate with a wide group of people.
