- They have a futuristic sound
It had one song I heard on the radio that I liked. Be weary buying this though because you may not get it. It is very new aged sounding. I thought it was ok but maybe it is one that the more you listen to it the more you like it.

All I can say about this album is... wow. It really leaves me speechless. I mean, I thought Absolution was amazing and that there was no way they could improve on that piece of art until I heard their new album! Fan-friggin-tastic! What really caught my attention on this album was Supermassive Black Hole. I listened to the first ten seconds (literally) and fell in love with it. Since then, I've FORCED everyone and anyone who was willing to listen. This is one of the albums that just get better as you listen to it.... it's IMPOSSIBLE to get tired of. I've seriously heard some of the songs 60-70 times and it sounds better every time. Flawless. Absolutely flawness. That's saying something because I'm a really, really, tough critic. Muse is both entertaining and enlightening. It's definitely not a fad. There's too much depth to be ignored.
One suggestion - if you enjoy the album, GO SEE MUSE LIVE. They are BRILLIANT. If the tickets cost an arm and a leg, be sure to have a chainsaw at hand. They're really worth it. They're really that good. Not many bands can make their music sound better live. Matthew Bellamy (Vocals, guitar, piano) is seriously TALENTED! His performance was nothing short of perfect! I sat through two hours of MUSE and felt like the luckiest person alive. It's worth losing your hearing. It's worth your soul.

While this album is good, I don't personally consider it an improvement from the last album. The piano elements that were so intricately woven into nearly every song on Absolution are, for the most part, missing from this album. While some traces of it remain, it does not have the same epic classical feel that nearly every track on Absolution had. For example, a completely instrumental version of Absolution was released and could stand very well on it's own. I don't think the same thing could be done with this album.
The band stated this was an experimental album, and while it was definitely a good album from a band that stands high above the rest of today's bland offerings, I personally found Absolution and Origin of Symmetry to be better albums. But that's just my opinion.

I just had the opportunity to see Muse live, (touring with My Chemical Romance.) Muse, can play!!!! Really impressive Live, and so is this CD. I personally think it's their best, and... I just wanted to put my five stars in here for them. They deserve 'em.
