This Cd is a big drop form Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, Aquemini, and ATLiens. Those 3 cds were classics, and no one can take that away. But Stankonia does not even compare with these three cds. Outkast has gone from one of the best rap groups to just another radio filler. I miss the Outkast of old. Where have they gone?

Great CD, not as good as Aquemini or ATLiens, but great cd nonetheless.

This is a quite good cd. It has nice tunes and chorus, which makes this cd special. This detail allow people not close to rap music to enjoy it as much as a person who uses to listen rap music. But i don't think this is the best rap cd ever at all, even it's not outkast at their best. Their flow on this cd sounds a little bit stuck, and their lyrics look to be designed so everyone can enjoy their songs. It is evident that they were thinking in selling cds.
So if you don't like rap music this cd will help you to introduce into this musical style. But if you want something different try Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik, it was the first cd outkast developed (I am not sure of this), get it because it really woth.

The first time I heard this album I thought it was decent. But then I listened closer the second time, and I found it ten times as good. All I have to say is that I love it. This is another solid effort made by Outkast to push Hip-Hop to cosmic levels. Nobody does it better than them.
They hold down most of the production with the exception of three songs produced by their long time comrades Organized Noize. This is a positive leap for them.
You can see this when you listen to ATLiens, they hold down a little bit of the production. Then on the classic Aquemini they hold the production down even more. Then finally on Stankonia they hold down almost all of it. I won't be surprised if one of these days they hold down all of the production. You have to crawl before you walk.
The album starts out with an eerie introduction then goes right into some hardass rock. Then it slowly falls into hellified Funk. The best song by far on this album is the "anti bling bling song" "Red Velvet."
I would recommend this album to anybody.

Outkast's "Stankonia" is possibly the best record to come from a rap group. Almost every song on this album is great. Songs ranging from "Gasoline Dreams" to the title track each have their own meaning and unique sound which makes this record well worth your money. "Ms.Jackson","So Fresh,So Clean","Xplosion",and "Gangsta ..." are just a few of the many tracks that stand out in my opinion. Cypress Hill, Cash Money Millionaires, and D12 have all released well done CD's, but none of them even compare to this. I must say Big Boi and Dre did a GREAT job and with their greatest hits out now, I hope they release a new record just as good. Buy this! You will not be disappointed.
