A pleasure to behold in its carpetted case, Rhino Records have a CD collection here that should have been made years ago. This is the definitive gathering of the very best of the very worst of the 70's. Fabulous.

I looked around for days trying to find LOVE GROWS, then stumbled across the craziest of notions: Just punch up "70s". It was the first one! Listening to old music from the past is like traveling in time. One can actually smell the roses. LOVE GROWS was a big hit in 1970 - the same year my cousin was shot in the jungle of Vietnam. Darling.
Rating: - It is Groovy!!!
It really takes you back.... It's missing a few great artists...The Bee Gees, Carole King... but all-in-all.... a GREAT buy! I listen to it every day!! Sure don't regret it!

For the most part, this collection is well done, but it suffers in two areas: 1. Some of the selections are questionable (Little Green Bag - it stunk 25 years ago and it still does). 2. The quality of the mastering on some of the tracks is below Rhino's standards. With just a little more effort, it would have been worthy of 5 stars --- but it still proves the '70s weren't all that bad.
