- Just learning the language, but loving the music
I am in my fourth year of French in High School, and my teacher started playing some french rap because he knew it would be interesting to us if it was rap and had a good beat... he was right, I fell in love with Solaar's music right away. Not only does it help me to learn the language more fluently, but I truly enjoy listening to it. I'm begging my mom to buy me all of his CD's :)

Anyone who invests money is this CD needs to be admitted to a MENTAL WARD...the only reason I gave this WACK project 1 star was because that was my last option...he conveys in french, and I can see why, because he's not saying anything worth listening to...SOLAR NEEDS SOME SUN...when TRASH day comes, make sure Solar is a part of it...once you go WACK, you neva come back, lol....this CD is a REAL SLEEPER (ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ)

Prose Combat is a decent album. I listened to Solaar's first record before I heard Prose Combat and I enjoyed it more. Musically, Qui Seme Le Vent is more creative and interesting in terms of beat and instruments. Prose Combat's beats are a little less well synchronized with the rap -- he's still got spirit but the music doesn't support it well. I recommend springing for Solaar's first album first. If you like that then go for Prose Combat, listen to it a few times and you'll probably end up very happy with it.

MC Solaar's Prose Combat is definitely a worthy collection for any one who can identify beautiful beats when they hear one.Even though i don't hear a word of french, the beats on this album are really very tight and i was feeling it.

i decided to buy this CD based on the reviews i read and i think that i have gotten every cent of my money's worth, if not even more. i can't speak nor do i hear a word of french, but you know what, it doesn't even matter. From the first track through to the end, the MC just seems to keep you on your toes and your ears just keep begging for more. The beats are very tight and the tempo is incredible. This guy is so much better than many of the rappers that we have in the United States. MC Solaar is definitely a refreshing talent. TO EVERYONE OUT THERE PLEASE BUY THIS CD!!!. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG
