- Brilliant
I never thought I'd say Radiohead was brilliant... that was until I was given this CD... I think I must have listened to it every day for months until I finally got The Bends which in my book is one of the best purchases ever made.

After hearing comparisons to Muse, Coldplay, and Blur; I decided to give these guys a try. I purchased Kid A and Amnesiac first and was impressed with the atmospheric Floydian style of the band. But that didn't prepare for this album. Needless to say, when I put this in the Cd player, I was blown away. Paranoid Android just floored me with the constant shifting of meter and dynamics, very much like the old prog stuff with a alt edge to it. It seems that the British bands have the upper hand when it comes to producing good melodic and interesting music (some American bands like My Chemical Romance, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Killers are also incredible bands). This is a definite must buy!!!

Arguably the best album ever produced. The melodies, the beats, the bass lines, even the so-called "noise" on the album: everything placed with precision within the music.
If I were allowed to own only one Radiohead album, it would be this one.

I am not a fan of Alternative music. I am not a fan of Rock n Roll period. Unlike all the other reviewrs of this album, I don't listen to Pink Floyd or Jimi Hendrix. I listen to more pop and dance music. My favorite music artists are Hooverphonic, The Cardigans, Heather Nova, Sarah Mclachlan and Chipo Mato. I am impressed with Radiohead though, they are the only rock band that is not just a bunch of loud and obnoxtious ignorant mess. I first got into Radiohead when I herd the song Exit Music (For A Film) on the end credits to the film Romeo & Juliet and also herd the song Talk Show Host on the soundtrack to the film. I thought about buying one of their albums for a while but was afraid that some of their music would be loud and heavy, in other words, typical Alternative Rock like Nirvana and all that junk. I bought this album and Kid A at Best Buy. I was impresed with how relaxing and melodic their music is. I am not a rocker I am far from being one but I think this album is worthy of going into my collection, it has become a favorite.

- OK Computer is not the real Avant Garde
I recently listened to OK Computer, then I listened to some of John Lydon's stuff with PIL (Johnny Rotten), and PIL's music is vastly superior to Radiohead's music. PIL's music is the weirdest and most innovative music I have ever heard. The instrumental part of the music is far out, and so is the vocal part. OK Computer sounds like bad pop music by comparison, it is just whiny 90's shlock pretending to be Avant Garde. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but listen to PIL and then Radiohead doing OK Computer and you will see what I mean. I don't think the people who like OK Computer have good taste in music.
