- beasties kick it with some brand new styles- again.
the best way to sum up ill communication is variety. On this album, the beasties go back to their roots of punk rock, but also explore different areas of music, like funk, and jazz. This album is more gangsta than any of the previous albums (listen to "Get it together and you'll understand. Don't get me wrong, it's a great song) and i just felt i enjoyed albums that were more interesting, like Paul's Boutique and their newest release, Hello nasty. Still, this cd is excellent. The musical songs are the best, especially "flutterman's rule", and "sabotage" is just plain irresistable. Yet the only hard core rap songs i enjoyed were "sure shot", "get it together", and "Do it". This album proves to be worthwhile in buying most of all because you get to hear the beasties expand their musical horizons to places they have never gone before.

This cd is a rip off I bought it on sale for $8.99, and it was still too much. Sabatoge is a great song, and that is about it for this cd. Since Licensed to ILL each album has gotten a little worse. Hello Nasty (I heard at a friends) is worth a half star. Maybe the band sucks now, or has too many activities to make good music.

this album is a must have for any true beastie boys fan. they are definitely one of the most inventive groups around. don't buy this cd for 'sabotage' or 'sure shot' [even though they're great songs]. the best tracks are probably 'get it together'[despite its high level of profanity this is by far the best song of the album], 'alright hear this', 'flute loop', and 'do it'. this cd kicks a** buy it today!

This Cd has got to be one of the best beastie boys Cds. It includes Sabotage the best song by the Beasty Boys

Beastie boys come off clean and correct with original and crazy phat lyrics and beats that show age comes with better expeience.
