Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best album ever!!
This album is incredible. It is very creative with it's massive layered sampling effects troughout the album. The dense sounds make me wanna get up and do something. Everytime I play this album I'm reminded of a hot summer where politics in the rap game were at large. This album maybe one of the most political albums of all time dealing with race realations,HIV,sexual differences, radio, corrupt police, hollywood expoitation of blacks,etc...... Evey song on this album is unique with layers and layers of noise. Best track...every track. P.E.ace

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Revolutionary Generation
"Fear" is the best rap album ever made. It was made at the right time, when sampling didn't cost artists so much. It allowed Terminator X and the Bomb Squad to produce the most radical apocalyptic hiphop assault on the ears. "Brothers Gonna Work it Out" swirls with immediacy (sampling Prince's "Let's Go Crazy"), same with "Power to the People" (and you thought the beat slowed down) and "War at 33 1/3." I like this album slightly better than "It Takes a Nation of Millions," because this album is so much more chaotic and dense. The beats are huge, adn Chuck D is full of fury (scary as hell). I would agree that Flavor Flav was more fun on "It Takes a Nation of Millions," but he shines on "911 is a Joke."

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE BEST ALBUM BY EVER BY PUBLIC ENEMY
I think IT TAKES A NATION OF MILLIONS TO HOLD US BACK and FEAR OF A BLACK PLANET are the benchmarks of rap in a lot of ways. The music was so fast and feirce and the lirics were never foced they all most semd to rhym all on their own and still said so much to every one. rap has changed a lot and thanks to P.E.I think for the better.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Best of the Decade? Oh, what has happened?
Amazon.com regards Public Enemy as the best musical artists of the 1980's. These criminals crank out musically bankrupt albums which they load with explitives to attempt to cover up their dearth of musical and lyrical talent. Hatred of whites, Jews, honest work, the law etc. are what make up the bulk of their trite lyrics. As recently as the 1940's there was genuine musical talent in the western world -- what have we come to? I this the sort of "art" toward which we have to look forward in the coming century?

"Good authors, too, who once knew better words / Now only use four-letter words / writing prose... / Anything goes...." -- Cole Porter

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - P.E. is in full effect..........BROTHER!!!!
Maybe the best rap album ever... No, it is the best ever
