Nosso Mundoby: Trio Esperanca Release Date March 30, 1998 The trio form is quaint, reminding me of the 40's, 50's, 60's polyphonics in melodies. But this is no antiquated style. Esperança impresses quietly with surprising harmonies, impeccable technique and execution and a good variety. The diversity of repertoire is so good that often you only realize that they are unaccompanied (a capela) after having heard a song for the 4th or 5th time. The Brasilian rythms are fun throughout the album. Excellent! |
