Third Party New : Rooftop Soundcheck
Rooftop Soundcheckby: Justice System Release Date September 13, 1994 Randomly comming across this album, I find it to be better than I expected. The Rooftop Soundcheck (or Sounds Of The Rooftop), has a live instrumental vibe throughout the LP, made by the Justice System (sort of like The Roots or most hip hop bands). So the production here is going to be excellent. A few tracks that jumped out to me was the song dedicated to Afrika Bambaatta on the song "Dedication To Bambaataa" with a dope Q-Tip sample. Both versions of "Summer In The City" are great, especially the origonal, because it vibes so easily. "Just Because" and "Justice Funkin" are more excellent tracks with their live production that many will enjoy. I would say out of the fourteen tracks, those would be my favorites on this album, ...
