La Bella Mafiaby: Lil' Kim Release Date March 04, 2003 I'd always liked the persona of Lil Kim and enjoyed her big hits from her debut cd but had never purchased one of her albums till this one. When she debuted I compared her lyrics and "act" to great female rappers of the past and sadly, wrote Lil Kim off because I thought that her lack of clothing, excessive profanity and lack of substantive lyrics set the female rap game back to when females weren't respected in the genre. Of Kim's releases, I bought this album first because I really loved THE JUMP OFF - it was a great choice for a lead off single with its high energy beats and fun lyrics.
