Downheartedby: Charon Release Date April 04, 2006 Been a big fan of Goth Rock since the mid '90s and the Swedish band "Misery Loves Co.," and Portugal's "Moonspell." Charon, for those of you who are completely unfamiliar, is much more in the vein of H.I.M. Now, before anyone flames this review, I will state now that for an album to be "great" it must be able to do its style of music in some truly NEW way, or redefine the genre. Charon is a welcome addition to this genre though it must be said that this and all other of their albums are available domestically at lower prices, and this addition comes circa '01 and not '06 as Amazon incorrectly states. As for this album, it's beautifully sung and guitar-wise has more solid solos and leads than theur more recent "The Dying Daylights." ... Read More: |
