It was friends, rather talented friends, having fun while leaving the egos at the door. There are warts, but that is the charm. The "banter" that some talk about make it interesting for fans of these men. It is not a bluegrass album. Not all of Tony's albums/songs are strictly bluegrass. Most people know this. One made the insightful observance that Tony doesnt sing at all on this. He leaves out the fact that Tony's voice had been out of commision for several years when this was recorded.
