 Rating:  - A Very High Quality Christmas Production!I have no complaints about Kristin Chenoweth's new Christmas CD, titled "A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas." I was left wanting more! This CD is the first time I've stopped to listen to Chenoweth, and I was definitely inspired to hear more. I have already ordered her highly acclaimed "Let Yourself Go". If I had to limit my description of Kristin Chenoweth's voice to three words they would be: Playful. Caring. Enchanting. Track One: "I'll Be Home For Christmas" starts off this unique Christmas extravaganza. This song has a very romantic saxophone solo and ends with a sultry flair. Track Two: "Christmas Island" is very playfully sung, and Chenoweth's interpretation elicits dreams of the musical styles from the 1930s era. ... Have you noticed there are a lot of great new holiday albums out this year? Wow! This one - "A Lovely Way To Spend Christmas" by Kristin Chenoweth is my favorite, which is really saying a lot! Just listening to the previews I was hooked, and I've already listened to all the songs several times. What a beautiful bell quality Kristin's voice has . . . it makes you happy just listening to her songs! I wasn't that familiar with Kristin Chenoweth (I knew her only from "Wicked") before, but now I'm one of her new fans! I'm buying several to share with friends and family during the holidays. Absolutely moving. This whole record is filled with great Christmas music. Kristin Chenoweth is a terrific stage performer, so I was a little unsure how her talent would fit onto a studio record. This is a great one, with sharp arrangements and Kristin's wonderful voice. There's humor and sweetness and a little twang along with some very moving spirituality. Happy Holidays.Whether as Sally in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," Glinda in "Wicked," or Olive on "Pushing Daisies," Kristin Chenoweth has one of those voices that's just meant to be singing Christmas music. Strong, yet chipper, Chenoweth owns "Do You Hear What I Hear?" and "Come On Ring Those Bells." Joe Raposo's "Sing" and Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" work well among new tracks by Peabo Bryson and one of Mariah Carey and Celine Dion's producers. Small package. Big voice.
