Product Description: Longtime Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and Brooklyn native, Killah Priest returns with Behind The Stained Glass, the highly anticipated follow up to the 2007 acclaimed The Offering. Introduced to the world through a deeply spiritual, lyrically sharp verse on "B.I.B.L.E." from GZA's Liquid Swords, Killah Priest's first album, Heavy Mental released in 1998, was filled with intensely spiritual lyrics loaded with metaphors and religious references. Ten years later, this former Sunz of Man group member is back with Behind The Stained Glass proving his passion for quality rhymes and quality music. The album contains sixteen tracks of Priest showcasing why he is considered as one of the top lyricists in the game. He opens with the thunderous track "I Believe" and on "Hood Nursery" he puts a clever, gritty spin on a classic nursery rhyme. The album features appearances from 60 Second Assassin, Allah Sun, Jeni Fujita and Victorious. Behind The Stained Glass is what fans continue to beg for and Priest describes it himself as "me tapping into the inner priesthood side I think people need more of."

Killah Priest returns with his 6th solo album and just 9 months after
his classic, "The Offering". Of his 6 albums, this is the lower half in my opinion, though it still is a solid album. I'd give 1 - 5 stars, 2 get 4.5, 2 get 4 (this being one), and 1 I'd give 3.5. Like always, he has deep thought provoking lyrics and he gets his message across in a different way, one that sets him apart from many, as a lyricist in my opinion. With 16 songs on here, I'd say 7 are ok, and the other 9 are good, a few bing real good. Guests are very minimal, on only 3 of the 16 songs. production is decent as well. DJ Woool does 10 songs, 4th Disciple, Kount Fif, Thoro tracks, magnetic, C Sik, and Dirty Needlez each do 1 song. A nice album to have ... Read More:

Good album, beats 3/5, lyrics 4/5. Overall 3.5/5 - good album. Let's hope he makes up with God's Wrath or get Wu-Elements to produce.

One of the most underrated storytelling lyricist is back once again with another banger. Killah Priest's spirit has been renewed: Truth + Deep/insightful flow + Visual Lyrics + Mystical beats = Another classic in the KP vault. KP can never peak-Why? "Because the Lord has no limits..."
KP is a very spiritually-filled & educated MC who always delivers to his listeners. He has a way of saying things that make the pictures in the painting move. I would add that I'm a major fan of all of KP's material ever since "Heavy Mental"-because he always gives his listeners real-life substance. You hear a lot of these upcoming MC's expressing their point of views (which is a good thing)-but can't back it up with any facts or logic. You already ... Read More:

Ten years on from his first solo album Heavy Mental, Priest has returned with another masterpiece. Most hip hop purists know that The Offering was arguably the best release of 2007 and Priest has changed the tempo yet again and released what should be the best album of 2008.
Behind the Stained Glass is Priest's deepest piece of work yet. The album is entrenched in spirituality and emotion and has Priest's trademark lyrical visual imagery stamped on every track.
I'll start by stating that no words can do justice to this album but I'll do the best review that I can.
'I Believe' starts the album off on a strong note and has Priest straight off declaring that he is again back and that his spirit is still strong.

There is really nothing I can say bad about this album. But I'll tell you what I found good. His lyrics are packed with introspective self examination and religious imagery galore. There is a lot to not be listened too but HEARD on this album. His delivery is calm and smooth almost like he's just having a casual discussion telling you what he believes. Also he is a very skilled storyteller. But first and foremost Priest is a FIERCE emcee and that is also abundantly shown on the CD. Finally I liked the fact that there is VERY little profanity to be found here.
I can't recommend this album enough.
