Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of Rap's Living Legends releases another classic...
Bun B has done it again. With amazing beat selection and ferocious lyrics, Bun B has dropped another southern classic. There is a reason that this man in well respected throughout the hiphop community. His lyrical abilities shine through on this cd, coupled with the amazing beat selection thanks to his producers.

Buy this CD. You wont regret it!

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Music as a Money Grab
I grew up on East Coast rap such as Schooly D, Public Enemy and BDP, but I never thought that it would bias me in any way towards quality hip hop. I must be wrong because people love this CD and I don't. The sound that emanates from the "dirty south" is all about being gangsta and spending money foolishly... topics that I found tiresome in the early 90's when it was still relatively fresh.

There is one song that makes an attempt to address social issues, but it comes off as contrived due to the rest of the album's topics of interest. How can you rap about local politics forcing one into a life of crime as being a bad thing when you glorify the fruits of your "labor" the rest of the album?

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - "Who Woulda Known Back In '92, In 2008 I'd Have To Write A Song Sayin I Miss You (Rating: 8 out of 10- -4.0 stars)
First and foremost, I have to give Bun B mad props for keeping his head up during some of the toughest times in his life with the passing of Pimp C. I'm sure thats real hard thing to swallow loosing someone real close to you. And as you can tell Pimp C is heavily missed on this album.

Okay, now for the album. II Trill damn near pics up where the first Trill one left off. Bun B has always been great putting out some club bangers to keep his fans attention. "I'm A Gangsta" with Sean Kingston and "Swang On 'Em" with Lupe Fiasco. Another thing I've always admired about Bun B is that he always kept his rhymes tight while repping the south. "You're Everything" is a standout with Rick Ross, David Banner, and Eightball & MJG. "Underground ... Read More:

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Sounds like a classis to me
From what I have heard on this album, it sounded great. Most of the songs are hitting with the bass, and it sounded great in the car. This is just a good street album, unlike Lil Wayne's latest one.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Step Back for Bun-B
Everyone else has been giving this cd like 4 and 5 stars and saying that its on point with everything else that he has done. I disagree with that. I feel like II Trill isnt even close to being on the same level of a cd as Trill was. Trill was on fire, II trill is a little more commercial and poppy than Trill. Overall he had a few good tracks but I listened to it about 3 times and was pretty much done with it. Yea Pimp C is missing from this album, but that cant be an excuse cause Pimp C was only on one track in Trill. It just aint that great and I would expect more from Bun.
