Editorial Review:
Album Description: For Celtic Thunder, Sharon Browne has teamed up with Grammy-nominated Irish songwriting and composing veteran Phil Coulter to produce a show that includes an eclectic mix of songs ranging from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brothers in Arms" and "Desperado," as well as original compositions by Coulter, who has written hits for Elvis Presley ("My Boy") and the Bay City Rollers, and performed with Van Morrison, Tom Jones, and the Rolling Stones. The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists, who range in age from 14 to 40, and feature songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

Another British invasion? "Celtic Thunder" is a group of 5 men from Ireland and Scotland, whose voices are truly amazing. Each has a strong and distinctive solo voice, but also blend well when they sing together. The music isn't all Celtic in nature - "Desperado" "That's a Woman" and "Puppy Love" are among those that aren't. The show is about 2 hours, and when they're finished, you'll find yourself wanting more! They are engaging performers who immediately connect with their audience. It would be difficult to choose a favorite - each having a unique style. This is not a "boy band." It is a DVD you'll watch again and again! My only disappointment is that the CD only has about half the songs from the DVD. I wish they had made it a double CD set. ... Read More:

Seeing "Celtic Thunder, five young male singers" in the daily tv guide, I didn't watch it, thinking it would be just some teenage loud music thing. Was I ever wrong! When I did accidentally come across it while surfing, I was hooked. It's about time that truly excellent music that is pleasing to all ages comes along. I'm a musician myself, and am critical to a fault sometimes. But this is one of the most marvelous musical shows I've ever seen. All five men are talented, attractive, charming and each one has great stage presence--even the youngest, who is only 14. And if that weren't enough, the staging is nothing less than superb! I have since watched it every time I see it listed, bought the DVD, and just ordered two more for gifts. I can't ... Read More:

Celtic Thunder is a wonderful concert! Beautiful and fun songs, not to mention very handsome men. They not only sing some Irish tunes but also some other styles as well. I highly recommend this DVD as part of your video music library.

This is an extraordinary group of male singers from Ireland & Scotland who have done their culture proud. I was so impressed when I first heard "The Show" on PBS, I immediately pledged enough to get front row seats and the opportunity to meet with the group. My tickets included a CD, but not the DVD, so I ordered two - one for me and one for my daughter, who enjoys Celtic music & dance. The special treat on the DVD is hearing the personal interviews and their stories in their adorable accents :) If you haven't watched this, you are missing one of the most entertaining events I've seen in years!! They cover the gamut - from patriotic to fun to romantic and anything in between. Don't miss it.

I watched this on TV and instantly feel in love with it. I wanted to be able to enjoy it over and over. So now I can and the music is wonderful. The guys aren't bad to look at either.
