Editorial Review:
Album Description: Brand new studio album including a remix of "Do It Well" featuring Ludacris.
Amazon.com: It would take a pretty good argument to deny that Jennifer Lopez is brave--nobody transitions from dance to film to music as boldly or as fluidly--but bravery doesn't factor much into her new disc, despite the title. And that's a good thing. On Brave, JLo busts out a batch of songs that don't challenge pop-appreciative ears--there's no cross-genre experimenting, no political point-making, and no self-serving, overblown ballads. In their place are well turned-out hooks (see "Mile in These Shoes," a song apt to cause ankle injuries in untold numbers of Jimmy Choo owners), bright production ("Hold It Don't Drop It" samples Tavares's groovealicious "It Only Takes a Minute"), and a voice very much in the mood to have a good time. "Stay Together," the opener, sets a happy, beat-heavy tone that holds up all album long--here's Jenny reminding the masses that monogamy need not be a buzz kill: "Stay together, it's the new break-up/Stay together, it's the new trend," she trills, and you believe her. Brave may not be the most groundbreaking record ever to climb the pop charts, but it's enough to convince you JLo's discs don't stint on substance. And it'll raise your pulse, too. --Tammy La Gorce

I was looking for some inspiring driving music. Something fun with a bit of pep. This is an ok album but does not rate as a favorite. I have other albums that most of the songs I love. This has 2... It is currently in my 5 CD holder in the car but I don't think it will stay there.

Let me start off with the generally shared universal opinion that Jennifer Lopez isn't exactly the best singer in the music industry. However, her voice does well for what she deals with, which is general catchy pop tunes that use instrumentation and production as hooks and tunes. That said, I find it incredibly dishonest to see so many viewers here who choose to berate, slander, and attack this woman personally without even first listening to the CD. No, Jennifer Lopez isn't the best singer but she tends to have infectious beats and instrumentations to help her push the sugar tune songs along, and that strategy that she propels is no different on this album.
Quite possibly, Jennifer's best English album to date, in terms of the ... Read More:

While "Do It Well" failed to become a huge hit for J Lo, it still has a great feel to it. Kind of pop, kind of hip-hop and kind of R&B. It's one of those songs you'd expect J Lo to make. I was worried I wouldn't like the rest of the album but no worries no more! Almost every song is good. The first 5 are really good and have a great sound to them. They're well-written, well-produced and well-sung. She has a good voice even though some people say she can't sing. I like her voice and I think this is one of her better albums. I didn't like "Rebirth" and I'm glad she made a comeback from that album! If you liked "Do It Well" there's more to offer. I definately reccomend this if you're a J Lo fan.
