Editorial Review: Amazon.com: The release date is early February, but it's hard to imagine a more hotly anticipated kids' CD arriving all year. Here Come the 123s, the companion piece to 2005's Here Come the ABCs, is among the buzziest properties to hit kid-land since Laurie Berkner started shaking things up in the late '90s. That's because the artists behind it are the kinds of geniuses who merit a thousand-page expose in The New Yorker but also know how to bust out a proper jam. The Johns--that's John Flansburgh and John Linnell to the uninitiated--have accomplished what no other respected rock band has done with these discs: they've blown the lid off They Might Be Giants' otherwise cultish fan base and brokered themselves a deal with a couple of generations. TMBG have made bright and extremely quirky pop songs out of stuff you learn in preschool (the ABCs and 123s), and 2- to 10-year-olds, as well as their clever, discriminating parents, get to feel good--and maybe learn something, too.  Rating:  - 123sI bought this for my husband and kids. They love TMBG and loved the ABC's music. We had to complete the set. The music drives me nuts, but my kid and husband love it and listen to it whenever I am out of the room. It is fun to hear my 4- and 1-year-old boys singing the words. Rating: - Where's our cake? We want cake! -- The best children's CD everThis CD has done more to get my kids to sing and count than any other. Songs are great and varied so you don't get too bored or burned out. Of all the children's music we have, this is the best out there. TMBG have made a classic. Rating: - Great cd!Love it! It's not annoying!! My sons can listen to this all day. Simple and fun songs. I am so happy with this cd, i bought it with the barenaked ladies cd and Dan Zane. My sons sing zero and monday every single day. I am so happy disney has put these musicians on their channel and we have decent music for kids...thanks disney! Rating: - Excellent!!My entire family loves this CD and DVD. The songs are catchy and upbeat, they even get stuck in your head. Everyone in my family has a favorite song and we proceed through the list everyday to and from school. There are a couple songs that we tend to skip over, every CD has some of those. The majority of the CD is excellent and well worth buying. I am really glad that we purchased this CD. Rating: - Great kids' music!My preschoolers absolutely love this, and I can enjoy it too. The songs are very fun and educational (I now know what a Triops is- and that it has 3 eyes).
