Editorial Review:
Description: Alex Mack was one of the most popular television shows for kids in the 90’s. Originally airing on Nickelodeon, the shows follows a normal thirteen-year-old, Alex (Larissa Oleynik), dreading her first day of junior high school and trying to deal with the typical adolescent concerns. But a toxic spill changes all that. On her way home from school, a chemical accident suddenly leaves her biologically altered. Alex now has the ability to liquefy herself, turn into a human magnet, move objects and create force fields. Featuring the TV acting debut of Jessica Alba (Sin City, Fantastic Four), The Secret World of Alex Mack: The Complete First season is now available for the first time on DVD!

I was pleased when I got my item, but the confirmation number that I recieved told me that it went to a completely different address. I was very unpleased with that.....Amazon needs to get their confirmation numbers under control, but other than that I was pleased....

Alex Mack was an awesome show and in my opinion one of Nickelodeon's best. They need to release the other seasons though. ALso its annoying that Jessica Albums all over the dvd and shes only in like ..three episodes. Shes not even a main character.. they could have at least put Ray on the second disc cover. Hopefully we will get a better dvd of this awesome show in the future.

Do you remember the old nick shows? 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?', 'Keenan and Kel', 'Welcome Freshman', 'Clarissa Explains It All', 'Hey Dude', and 'The Secret World of Alex Mack'!
This show had all the appeal of the the teen shows that the older kids had (like 90210 and Melrose Place) and the better parts of the younger shows (freaky science experiments that were almost like magic). A young girl who could be considered a dork, the younger sister, who basically becomes a superhero in a freak accident.
The whole town knows about the accident, but they keep that part about a kid being involved quiet, not wanting the bad press. And Alex only lets her science whiz big sister Annie and bff Ray in on the secret. Which ... Read More:

It is great to be able to watch "The Secret World of Alex Mack" again, but I'm just a little disappointed with the DVD. The picture is pretty washed-out, and I've seen the picture break up at least once; this isn't the DVD's fault, but a problem during the transfer. Also, although this really isn't a big deal, the case incorrectly says that the show is in Dolby 5.1 (it's really just in the original stereo).
I'm hoping that the remaining three seasons are released and that they're transferred from better sources. 'Cause this show is awesome.

My rating on this is based on the show, and not the contents of the DVD.
Alex Mack appears as an ordinary teenager,to those around her, excluding her Sister, Annie.
Annie becomes worrisome, hearing Alex's story, of a near hit, and run. When Alex mentions she has been dosed with a ,yellowish, unknown, chemical, from the chemical plant, Annie observes Alex closely. Annie records any unusual effects of the chemical.
The leader of the chemical plant is not enthused hearing of a child being covered with this illegal substance. She tries in every way to track down this kid, putting Alex, and her family in great danger.
The first season is full of fun, excitement, and thrills! It's sure to make you want to see the full set! ... Read More:
