This is the collection of pretty much all of the Metallica videos from 1989 through 2004 (yeah, pretty obvious from the title, I know). So as a die hard Metallica fan since 1989 (the first time as a 13 year old, I saw the One video on MTV, I was just floored by the power of their music), how can I only give this comprehensive collection only 3 stars?
Well, don't get me wrong, the video quality is fine, sound is good on my 5.1 surround sound system. But the a number of the videos (Turn the Page, Whiskey in the Jar) as other reviewers have also noted, are the editted, censored version. Look, I'm old enough to have seen enough titties so it's not like I got this DVD to see tits, but it does bother me a bit that I don't get to see ... Read More:

This is the best DVD I have. I am a 38 year old female who loves Metallica! I have been a fan since age 20. Anyways, buy this! All the videos in one place. Perfect quality. Great price. You know you want it...
One problem, inside it said Metallica is:
James hetfield, Kirt Hammet, Lars Ulrich,(Robert trujillo.)
Metallica IS Jason Newsted...RIP Cliff.

Who was the sound guy of this dvd? The soundtrack playing while the main menu is displayed is 8 times the volume of the videos!
Everytime you go back to the main menu to select the video you want to watch, or re-watch, you better make dang sure you turned the volume down before you get to the main menu or you'll blow your speakers.
Moron sound guy, moron producer? Who is at fault here? Does anyone involved in making this dvd ever sit down & watch it before it is released to see what problems might lie in wait before they ship it to the masses?
All that being said, great dvd! Metallica Rules!

This is a great put together DVD package that shows the growth and (sometimes not good) changes of Metallica's Style and Music. The only annoying flaw (like the POSION video DVD) is the audio isn't very insync with the video=where James is singing and his vocals aren't matching up exactly with the footage. I don't understand why this happens with so many music dvds=is it that hard for the production dept. to get something like this right?
Anyways, it's great to have all the Metallica videos all together to watch and relive the memories of good (and bad) Metallica=Since MTV doesn't even show music videos (well, there's always FUSE!)
I will say though if you want ONE Metallica DVD then pick up CLIFF 'EM ALL which is ... Read More:
