`We Hate God Too' - The Melvins. Great quote from the gods of sludge metal in the sleeve, shame they couldn't have whipped out a quick cover of `Take as Needed for Pain' or `Lack of Almost Everything'. And that is the problem with this record, not enough familiar names. Not enough to make you feel curious.
Tribute records are in most cases strange, and in my view, unenchanting affairs. As with all good covers the bands who succeed on here are the ones who change the songs the most - Brutal Truth, Kylsea, Bloody Panda, Left in Ruin and The Unholy 3, aka, Hank Williams 3rd. Other than that what you have are a lot of obscure metal bands that sound vaguely similar but aren't as good as EHG (Raging Speedhorn) doing covers of songs that ... Read More:

i live for the sickness that is eyehategod so i was interested to hear all these other bands interpertaions of therir songs.obviously the orignal eyehategod cant be beat but i waas impressed with the covers by brutal truth, kylesa, leeft in ruins and all the others were still good.bloody panda also stood out for me. i would have like to see some more known bands do a few songs thats my only complaint. although there is liner notes written by phil anselmo. if you like ehg and a curious to hear some new underground bands syles in contrast to ehgs music get this i think it rocks
