Editorial Review:
Album Description: Cleveland, Ohio-based vocalist Conya Doss made waves in the UK and Europe with her 2005 album 'Just Because'. With a hint of Mary J Blige about her style, the young R&B vocalist songwriter returns with a new album 'Love Rain Down'. which again features production and writing collaborations with New York singer-producer Myron and with Rodney Jones.

I really did not care for this album at all. I haven't heard one track that I really liked. She has a decent voice but the music was quite blah (i.e. grits without and salt, pepper, butter, and cheddar cheese.) I will listen to the samples more closely before I purchase the next album.

Conya Doss is a gem of a find. Great voice, meaningful lyrics, excellent productions. I purchased three of her CD's. This one , "Still" and "Just Because". I love all three of them. How can she not have a major recording contract?

Conya's 2nd CD "Just Because" IS a hard act to follow, but "Love Rain Down" does the job. I think this is a great find, especially if you're a Conya fan.
I love how this CD has more uptempo songs, and her voice is as beautiful as ever. The Just Because CD is more mellow, so listening to this one is a nice change. I put both of them in a playlist on shuffle, and they really work together well to give a good mix of music.
Another wonderful thing about this CD is the lyrics. Conya has a way of saying the things we all experience in relationships. While you listen, enjoy the music, her voice, and especially the lyrics...so heartfelt.
Definitely much more variety on this CD which is a good thing.

Very balanced, and theraputic(well at least to me). Has a neo-jazz feel vs the neo-soul sound, which probably the reason it sound so good. This cd is definetly for the mature set(no sex me up joints on this), so if you have issues with your lady/man put this cd on and reconcile. Peace

I was slightly disappointed, I heard her other cds and wanted those so bad, but unable to get them, so when this was released I had to get it, knowing it would be just as great. I did not like this effort as much as the others but still good and better than alot of the R&B artists out now. So for those new to Ms. Doss please check out the other cds before making an opinion about her.
