 Rating:  - Outstanding soundtrackMy wife (Cubana) and I enjoyed this movie so much we purchased the original soundtrack. The movie has a great cast and the songs are cool, hip, and original all at the same time. The movie touches on some sensitive issues, especially if you're Cuban, but for the most part it was a funny, uplifting, and interesting movie. Rating: - Habana Blues rocks out better than anything coming from AmericaThe music on the CD is a rocking/latin gem. A music CD of American Funk,HIP HOP,Heavy Metal and Blues influenced.How they gathered so many diversed styles and tallent under one CD,i'll never know? The music touches upon many genres and styles. The CD ,coming from the island of CUBA, where buying guitar strings is as rare as toilet paper, can make you want to drag your old guitar and play along with the CD. The music is mostly uplifting,electric guitar dominated,dipicting life on the island. The songs have a tinge of irony to what is happening on the island. The best ballad on the CD is ,ARENAS DE SOLEDAD,a tune where two musical friends,a wife must make decide whether to stay on the island or leave for Spain. Creating an atmospere of isolation ...
