Editorial Review:
Album Description: Main songwriter in Alexisonfire, Dallas Green, demonstrates his wide talent by producing an ear catching debut solo album.

Dalls come from Alexisonfire. I got this cd recently and just to keep it brief I really liked thius album a lot for some solo acustic stuff. His vocals just make you want to lay back and relax and soak up each and every song. Mellow, Hearfelt, and simply good album worth listening to at least, worth the money if you like the style.

Dallas Green has one of those truly amazing voices like Samuel Beam, Sufjan Stevens, and Cary Brothers which just pulls you into a trance. With the exception of "Comin' Home" (amazingly one of his more popular songs...lyrically kind of stupid), Sometimes is extremely solid. "Day Old Hate" is 6:44 long, but seems like the perfect 3:30 song. You'll never want to skip it. Fantastic stuff.
Don't bother with Alexisonfire. It's Dallas Green's beautiful voice juxtaposed with the worst screamo you've ever heard. It's a real shame too, because the music is decent. I can only hope he will dump them ... Read More:

I really love this CD. I even bought another copy for a friend.

None of this is new material, however. Dallas, being a gifted songwriter, simply picked his 10 favorite previously unreleased songs straight out of his closet. And the results are superb. The name of the artist is Dallas Green but he calls himself "City and Colour", supposedly not intentionally after his name(City/Dallas, Colour/Green). City and Colour is definitely oriented towards the female crowd, with it's emotionally sentimental acoustic sound and Green's pretty vocal stylings. However, if you're anything like me, you'll be right at home with Sometimes.
