this is a comp from their albums from mercury. has some good stuff, but alot of their best stuff is left off this, even the good stuff from the mercury albums. i even think that this is mercury's attempt to cash in from mmb's fans. the way these companies work, i doubt the band will see a penny. check out the live cd, don't know how to party, question the answers, devil's nite out, and more noise & other disturbances.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones without doubt one of the most influential groups on the Skacore/Ska-Punk/whatever you call it scene. This album, however, only offers a quick dip into this band's music. If you are a fan of Ska or Punk this in not the right album for you to buy. If you have just heard of the Bosstones and wish to check them out, this album may be a good place to start. However, I would recommend that you buy a single release, such as Question the Answers. As with most good bands, the singles/popular songs are not always the best. This is not a CD for a Bosstones fan, not even a future one, it's barely a taste of the material the band can present.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Bosstones, but all we really get here is one of the always lame "Millennium" collections. Of course there is no official "Best Of" yet, so this may have to do for some. There's great stuff here however, like "Someday I Suppose", "Kinder Words", a cover of "Detroit Rock City", and their biggest hit "Impression That I Get". Where this fails most, is that it's only 12 tracks, and it's lacking "Where'd You Go?", which is one of their best songs ever. Again, good songs here, just too little. I'd suggest the 22 track "Live From The Middle East" instead. It's basically a live best of.
