Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: Here we have the ultimate artifact from the bestselling Wow series: Wow #1s: 31 of the Greatest Christian Music Hits Ever. This collection does have some great anthems, but they're the kind of tunes that anyone who's given even a cursory listen to Christian pop radio in the ‘90s or ‘00s has heard dozens of times by now. It's hard not to see this release as the result of a zeal on the part of the Wow organization to reduce contemporary Christian music to the sort of bite-sized, sales-driven, best of the best mentality that fuels so much of secular consumer culture. For the most part, the result is a blanched and overproduced mess: very little of the music remotely urban or exciting, almost all of it overly sentimental. Rather than a hearty meal, it's like eating a cake made entirely of frosting. Many if not most of the artists themselves are talented, of course, and if even one more listener can get turned on to the highly personal rock of Rich Mullins or the sublime, beyond-diva-level vocalizings of Nicole C. Mullen, that's never a bad thing. --Mike McGonigal

To even title this collection the "31 Greatest Christian Music Hits Ever" is laughable (oh, and don't forget...EVER is not OVER yet)! I would give this zero stars if I could. To even say this is the best of the 1990's into 2000's is a stretch. CCM has really lost its way if they consider this their best and the "#1's" of any era! I suppose that the only respect any artist can get in this modern era of CCM is to be a cross-over artist or if they stick with worship music! If this is what CCM is setteling for, God help us all!

Nobody likes everything. I really loved the "blue disc" but didn't like the "gray disc" much. Someone did a really great job of categorizing and seperating the music by style. I like the "blue disc" an awful lot. It is well worth what I paid for it. The service was quick and trouble free. Overall I'm very satisfied.

This is a really great Christian CD. I recommend it for anyone who loves contemporary Christian music!

Not only is the quality great, but it's something you want to listen to over and over again!

This was the first CD I purchased from this series. The music is definitely uplifting. There is a wide variety of artists on this CD to suit anybody's taste. I do my work listening to the music and it is great for a stress buster.
I especially like 'Stomp' by Kirk Franklin. This is a combination of a large black choir with an excellent sense of rhythm conducted by Kirk who also sings. The instrumentation behind the music is very rhythmic and great. I usually like other styles of music, but this particular piece is great! It's great to take along in the car if you want to listen to something that is a stress buster and also a prevention of boredom.
