when singers sing Bacharach they usually know what they are doing or they wouldnt attempt.it most of the people who will write these reviews will never know that the song alfie was played by stevie in the 60s and was a jazz hit.

Motown always had an eye on the lucrative cabaret market and most of their top acts recorded a few lushly-scored standards amongst the more teen dance-oriented fare. Great Cd. It's rare to find those motown greats singing other peoples music. It is all of your favorite bacharach/david hits, funked up with the motown style. I think this is the perfect cd for anyone who likes motown and also bacharach/david.

Berry Gordy&Motown would try any kind of Cover or give there Own Salute to a Artist or Act with this kind of Tribute&as usual there would be some Good Songs&then there would be some real Dogs.this is no exception to the rules."Alfe" Stevie WOnder's Version is Nice as is "Raindrops keep falling on My Head" by the Four Tops but needless to say nobobdy matches to Me what Burt&Dionne Warwick were able to get through.good for Collectors but not quite a Must have.
