Editorial Review:
Album Description: Simplicity features many well-known melodies performed on flute, alto flute, and piccolo with a New-Age instrumental accompaniment of piano, guitar, strings, horn, and more. It is traditional, yet contemporary; relaxing, yet uplifting; soothing, yet invigorating. This album helps us find the simple pleasures in life. Whether you want to unwind during a stressful drive or enjoy a peaceful dinner, put a little Simplicity in your life!

This CD is a great background CD to play while working, etc. The songs are soothing and enjoyable. I have to compliment the wonderful arrangements by Brent Schloneger which are truly a highlight of this album. They are extremely well done and fit Dianne's playing perfectly. I would recommend this CD to anyone who enjoys a relaxing instrumental CD to listen to while driving or working.

I recently bought this album, and I must say that it is simply splendid! Perfect to play during a romantic dinner or as background music during a get-together or in the car or when relaxing or when cooking or when cleaning. In fact, any time is perfect. I play it all the time. It's the only CD I want to listen to anymore. I read on her website that she's working on her second album...a holiday collection...and it's going to be released this fall. I can't wait to get it. I'm hooked!

It is always wonderful to find a new "favorite musician"!! Dianne's music reminds me of Jim Brickman's music... easy to listen to. I love listening to the familiar melodies but with a new sound (yet my favorite song on the CD is the one Dianne wrote). The flute sounds clear and beautiful. I like to play the CD while I am working or as background music during dinner. Dianne's CD has a permanent spot on my CD player!

A friend of mine gave me a copy of this CD. I have to admit, at first I thought, "Who's Dianne Williams?" But my friend told me that "Simplicity" is similar to the music of Jim Brickman...except that it had the added element of a flute. So, one day I popped it into my CD player, and I haven't stopped listening to it since. Honest. It's a permanent fixture in my stereo, now.
The melodies are simple, and the music on this CD is just plain wonderful. That's what I really love about it. Flute music is often so complicated...like the flutist is trying to prove just how fast she can make her fingers go. But Dianne Williams isn't out to prove her technical prowess. She lets the melodies speak, rather "sing," for themselves with a tone that ... Read More:

Diane's rendition of Amazing Grace is angelic but all of the familiar songs on this CD come to life as you have never heard before. Simplicity includes hymns, spirituals, patriotic tunes and everyone's favorite ballad and lullaby. It also includes her original work for which the CD is named. Listening to Simplicity is a true joy!
