 Rating:  - OKRocketown Records is officially five years old, and so to celebrate they released a compilation CD of some of their biggest hits. Starting off the CD is none other than the Dove-nominated Song of the Year "If You Want Me To" by the talented Ginny Owens. This is Ginny's trademark song and became an instant classic when released on her debut album in 1999. Ginny appears later on the disc with the R&B influenced "Free". Chris Rice shows up with the song that put him on the map, "Deep Enough to Dream". Chris was Rocketown's first of many successful artists. Watermark's "More Than You'll Ever Know" finally takes things up-beat. This is arguably Watermark's biggest tune at AC radio with its soft-country/folk feel. Shaun Groves shows up with his smash ... Since that time, they've introduced us to some truly amazing artists. This CD is a collection of the best songs from their roster of artists and releases to celebrate their 5 year anniversary. Featured prominently are Ginny Owens, Chris Rice, and Watermark. It also includes songs from Wayne Kirkpatrick, Shaun Groves, Out of the Grey, and the "Exodus" project. Even though I'm a fan and already own most of the songs on this CD, I've found I enjoy it. It gives a true sampling of what the label is all about with some outstanding songs. It also includes Ginny Owens, Wayne Kirkpatrick, Out of the Grey, and Chris Rice. All songs that are already released, but this way you get them all together on once Cd. It's really great music. |
